Duration Of Study

The course of study shall extend to the date of completion of the exam for a period of 4 academic years from the date of commencement of his / her study of subjects comprising the nursing curriculum. Occasionally, the terms and holidays shall be as advised by the university.

The course of study comprised of 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th year B.Sc (Nursing). A applicant shall attend an instructional course on the following, which shall stretch for a span of one or two academic years.

Note:

  1. Clinical preparation will take place 8 hours a day at 48 hours a week. Nursing teachers must supervise patients in the process of clinical practice.
  2. Participants will only be eligible to participate in the final evaluation for the fourth year following completion of clinical training.
  3. Nursing teachers must supervise patients during Clinical Practice.
  4. Participants will only be able to enroll in the final assessment for the fourth year after clinical training is completed.
  5. Attendance :
    • A minimum of not less than 80 per cent theoretical and practical / clinical attendance separately in each subject in each academic year is required for the test to appear. A candidate who is studying the course shall enroll as a full-time student in the college for the entire period. No applicant is permitted to work in a hospital / nursing home / laboratory / college while the course is being studied. No student may take any other course of study or attend any other examination conducted by that university or any other university in India or abroad during the registration time. The school year is used as a method to assess attendance.
  6. Internal Assessment :
    • The annual regular examination shall be carried out throughout the duration of the study. While the question of the amount of assessments is left to the university to perform at least three theoretical and realistic studies each year. The pre-university test may be identical to the university exam series. The total number of marks of the three analytical and functional exams shall be submitted separately to the university.
    • A applicant shall receive not less than 50 per cent of the marks prescribed in principle for internal evaluation and not less than 50 per cent of the marks prescribed in reality, respectively, for each subject / paper to be qualified for university review.
  7. Schedule of Examination :
    • The university shall perform two exams on an annual basis for a span of not less than 4 to 6 months, as advised from time to time by the university. A applicant who meets the conditions of participation, achievement and actions as stipulated by the university shall be prepared for a university review. The Certification to that effect shall be drawn up by the Head of Institution along with the application for examination and the prescribed fee.
